A native of Odessa, Texas, Dena graduated from Texas Tech University with, believe it or not, a degree in history (she specializes in 20th Century European history, thank you very much).

Though she has an interest in teaching, Dena stuck with her love of broadcasting and eventually made her way to Tulsa. She spent time with several local stations before becoming the newest member of the Mix 96 staff. Dena is also the Assistant Program Director of the radio station.
