| Station - KRAV Client Mabee Center (1/11/08 - 2/8/08) The Problem - Client wanted to get a jump start on pre-sale tickets on the Blue Man Group. The Plan - Create a text message campaign exclusive to KRAV/Mix96 listeners, with a $5 off discount offer fromthe client and the opportunity to purchase tickets prior to the official ticket sale date. The text message campaign began 4 weeks before the radio campaign. The Process The On-Air Personalities would announce the keyword (blue) to MIx96 listeners, who then would text the keyword to the short code, or number, and were given an exclusive promotional code for a discount on their purchase of Blue Man Group tickets. The Performance - Out of 383 texters (that texted for the presale password), 273 tickets were purchased: 97 premium $75 tickets and 176 regular $49.50 tickets. That's a 71% return on each texter buying a ticket! Even with the $5 discount on each ticket, the client profited $14,322 alone on the Text message password promotion. When you add in the extra amount of tickets they sold from the radio advertising this definitely made a huge impact! The client was amazed by the response and thrilled with the sales. They provided additional tickets for KRAV to use in on-air and remote giveaways. |
